My gf's best friend is her ex. He was her best friend during college days and she used to stay at his place at weekend. She told me that he used to kiss her like a brother when they were friends. Later they tried dating but didnt work out. Still they call everyday and i am not finding it normal

In my case she used to say that she has anxiety and her ex is part of her friend group. So, she can't break her friendship with her ex because of that.

Bro ,be practical and behave like a strong man. There is no such thing as best friend of opposite gender. If your best friend is not your gf and vice versa , you are dealing with trauma and certainly going to have a toxic future.
Stand on your morals. These things are not normal . People are making it normal. Leave her asap. I have a gf and we both respect the boundaries of involving with other person specially from the opposite gender. I am her best friend and vice versa.
Relationship is not everyone's cup of tea. The effort needs to be put from both the sides. I have female friends but none of them are best freinds . I talk to them only in the presence of their bfs in case we ever meet in person. I never had any bachlorette party with my team . I only enjoy with my partner and male friends.
