Trending @Accenture; Getting permanent shift

Hi everyone, I’ve been working as a DB Admin (L12) for US clients in rotational shifts for the past 6 months. Until now, I was managing fine, but recently I’ve started facing health issues and my condition has worsened to the point that I’m currently admitted to the hospital.

I’m considering requesting my people lead to a permanent morning shift to manage my health better. Do you think such a request would be accepted? What would be the best way to explain my situation strongly and convincingly?

Would really appreciate your thoughts and advice 🙏

Dude i worked in night shift for around 1.5 years. Was in the worst possible shape of my life, gained weight, had breathing issues, gastric issues, always felt fatigued. One thing i realised, it wasn't for me. No matter how much i get paid, i will never do a night shift again in my life. Talk to your manager and if he denies, start exploring other options brother. No point accumulating lakhs if you're gonna pay visits to the hospital frequently.

That's correct bro. Health issues and random sleep cycle fucked up whole my life.

Mostly it won't be, you will be required to do night shift as well. Max they will do is give you only morning and night shift.

But give a try ask them

I am ok to do morning and afternoon shifts. Is there any way to convince it.?

Give them your medical documents, if possible get a certificate from doctor saying night shift is affecting your body
