Getting paid for open source contribution

Hi folks, Just wanted to know some information, I have been contributing to an open source project for a company, for a long time and they have asked me If I am interested in a paid open source contributor role.

Though I have never gotten such opportunity before, I am interested to know how much I can expect or negotiate?
