Trending @Infosys; Getting Crappy Project or Bench?
Hello,
I have 2.5 yoe all with Infosys, and I was working on a Cloud based project (never on bench) My allocation is ending soon, and my manager just casually mentioned to me in call that there is demand only in a support project, which is not much technical. Also, the SW is an older non cloud version, not Cloud based. I did mention to him that I want a development project and don't want to regress to the older non cloud version of SW.But he didn't sound much positive. As of now he has asked me to confirm with my onsite manager whether my alloc will end or extended. What should I do? Should I tell him to release me to bench as I don't want that project (haven't received any official comm yet) ? Or should I accept that support project(I'm scared of getting laid off due to project refusal or bench)?
Keep looking for a project before allocation ending
Don’t go in a support project. Telling from experience it’s a trap there don’t go. You’ll regret the discussion for support project
If you refuse project and go on bench they will not terminate you for minimum of 3 months if you can study and switch in 3 months then go ahead refuse project and go on bench
