Getting clients as a copywriting freelancer?

I recently started with copywriting as a service. Did small gigs here and there. Wrote LinkedIn posts. Social media captions. Emails. Blogposts. Ads. I want to work with D2C brands in NA/EU. Mostly in ads, emails & content. How can I approach and pitch them? Cold emails? DMs?

Maybe you can consider being a lot more public with the problems you solved via your projects - across social, on your website, etc.
Along with that, you could connect with as many folks doing similar work in the target markets. Build that network effect. It never goes in vain.
Especially on X and to an extent LinkedIn.

There's a community called Superpath as well for content marketers/writers where a lot of gigs/part time work flow in through their Slack channel. Do give it a try.

Of course the cold approach is always there but narrower the funnel (such as standalone communities) easier to get a foot in the door.
