Get Laptop or Bike
23, SDE, 15 lpa, noida. That's about me. Now I want to get either laptop or bike, laptop will be useful if I plan to switch and do my own projects because old laptop is dead and I have office laptop only and play games sometimes, basically all the task that will help me push for enhancing skills.
Bike because, 23 yolo and a wish to have own bike, will get meteor 350

Laptop will cost 1-1.25 L and meteor if so I'll do down payment of same amount and rest half would be emi

Yeah this is better, but I would say go for both. Try to get cheaper MacBook like M1 or M2 and do down payment of bike with rest of the amount.
Meteor 350 with necessary accessories will cost like 2.5lakhs minimum, depends which one you getting. You can do two years EMI and then do some investments as well as that is also very important.
Now, be honest, is laptop a requirement? Are you dedicated to do Upskill and projects after work and also on weekends? If you know you will because you have been doing it now as well but your laptop has died, then you should take laptop and bike could be delayed for few months.
Other case, if you travel a lot daily then definitely bike will be very good. But if you don’t travel daily then bike might be just a weekend thing and not worth getting because you wanted laptop to upskill if you go out then that is also a waste of buying laptop instead of bike.
It all depends on what you are interested in. Sometimes you need to buy stuff just because it was your dream since childhood etc. which is fine at this age. But be cautious and don’t make a habit. Best is to get both.
Don’t buy on EMI, save it in SIP. Buy a laptop for personal use. It might sound naive, but using your office laptop for personal use isn’t recommended irrespective of the office policy or rules. Distinct computing systems would always help. Bike is not necessary unless you travel quite a bit already and you go on long rides and it is now stifling for you to depend on someone.

Bro unless you really need to work while traveling, there's no benefit of laptop. Macbook at that range is basic version, gaming laptops have shit battery and can't be disconnected from charger so it's not any good. Other windows laptop of that price are even worse like xps. You can get 96gb ram with a good ssd and graphic card in that range.
Meteor is not comfortable, don't buy any cruiser. From my experience of buying meteor in Bangalore

Yupp planning to get laptop next month, around 70-90k ish, want something that can play games would get 2023 series of anything because new ones are always expensive.
Would save for half down payment of bike and get it around Diwali
Get your bike. You spend 4-5 hours (consolidated) anyway in front of a screen. Have a reason to go out more.
