GenZ as workforce

Hearing alot about GenZ not being serious about work, lack of expected manners, careless about impact (these are not my opinions) etc, i was wondering this is the reason why a) millennials are able to save their jobs bcoz their managers are used to of certain way of working b) freshers are not getting jobs as it was 3-4 years back, even out of top colleges! (Source - Latest IIT placement reports)

is it true or i am just being optimistic that my job is secured? 😂

There's definitely a change of approach to jobs compared to previous generations. There are lot of factors which influence it. In our parent's gen most people had lot of responsibilities compared to genz. Genz people are bought up in a more secured environment and most of them didn't have to go through hard times compared to their parents. Also, the job landscape has changed a lot over the years. Before, people used to work at the same company till they retired. But now it's not the case. When you have other options your approach tends to be more relaxed. I don't entirely blame them though.
