Generalist/Biz vs Software Engineers - help me!!

Tl;dr If you are Generalist/Business/Product - what's the most boring part of your job? Do you like your job, if not why?

Post: I'm a Software Engineer, and I like my work. Something I like & enjoy, and 80% sure not something I wanna continue doing in long term.

Tech is something I enjoy, but honestly saying I enjoy Business & Product side much more, and Business is something what I wanna pursue in future.. when I see them working - Growth, Generalist, executives working, I feel more happy & excited on how they gonna solve & figure out things, and usually have much more meaningful conversations - their work excites me.

Am I being delusional? "Grass is greener on other side"? Can anyone share what's the boring part of their day-to-day job? Are generalist even required? Do people even hire for such roles, considering the fact I don't have such degree?

And starting with such roles from Junior Level, might mean I have to take a big pay cut - which I'm fine with.. considering I'm very young as of now (under 25) but doing tech for next 4 years and then figuring out stuffs would be harder.

I'm writing specially because I see some co-founders hiring for Growth/Generalist/Product/CTO Office - and I feel I'm missing out a lot.. I wanna get my hands dirty, start with a 0-1 startup, figuring out things.

I Love 0-1 startups (I've worked in 0-1 culture prev),infact startups before Zero..

Again, reiterating, I like my job genuinely, and I'm good at it, but I'm afraid I'm becoming comfortable and missing out things I should have try..
