Gen Z work-life narrative is completely broken in the Indian context.

I believe Indian Gen Z is ambitious and does not value work life balance as much.

In the West, millennials initiated hustle-culture because they had Gen X role models like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Crazy success seemed more achievable.

I think the same is happening in India right now. Young people have millennial role models like the Kamath brothers, Deepinder Goyal, etc.

Anecdotally, I am a workaholic and I struggle with balance. Most of my friends are the same.

People tend to think that Western trends apply to India but that's simply not true.
