Gave DSA interviews with Google — should I follow up?

I had two rounds of DSA interviews with Google for the Applications Engineer role. I definitely didn’t do well in the first round — the interviewer and I couldn’t connect, and he was quite rude and unhelpful.

The second round went somewhat better. I was able to code the optimal solution and dry-run it, but my initial approach was wrong. I realized it midway, rewrote the solution from scratch, and completed it correctly. The interviewer mentioned it was good that I dry-ran the solution but said I shouldn’t have rushed into coding without doing that earlier, as we could have discussed different approaches. We didn’t get time to discuss time and space complexity either.

He ended the round by saying, Good luck for your next round of interviews. My second interview was on Thursday, but I haven’t received any update yet, and my job application status hasn’t changed. Should I follow up or just move on?

Wait for a week and then follow up with the recruiter if there’s no update
No point in following up, just move on

My interviews with Google took 4 months and I gave 9 rounds. It'll take a while for the recruiter to reach out to you. My advice is to keep following up once a week.

Brother pls wait, there will be other candidates you’ll be evaluated against. Follow up weekly for 2-3 weeks. The process is rather slow depending on the recruiter.
