Future with AI and Robots

Pardon me If I’m overthinking.

Now a days many companies are laying off people because of their investments in AI and robots.

If this continues for a while and big companies focus only on their revenue instead of involving people in their products, they may save some X amount of money.

In reality, we are living in a cyclical economy. If you produce something someone has to buy it or borrow it. So that you can make money. To buy or rent your product that third person also have money. To have that money either he has to do one or many of these like own business, farming, working in a pvt firm, etc..

If major companies use AI and robots everywhere in future, how does the money circulate among us? How will we earn to get food and take care of our families? How does the education system look like? How does the government make money and protect its people?

I’m not talking about software developers only, it includes wider areas like teaching, medicine, driving ..etc

It feels like only the people who have money can live comfortably and control everything (just overthinking).

I’m not sure whether this will happen or not in future but I’d love to see your thoughts on this.

I believe deploying robots or AI would create new jobs to fill the gap like AI orchestrator, Ethical AI, AI governance etc… AI replacing blue collar jobs are most unlikely to happen. In software development it is most likely to replace many internal roles which doesn’t involve critical thinking and having repeated tasks. But, even when software development is democritized, developers would still have job why because everyone knows how to drive a car but still cab driving profession exists, so even when everyone can create application but would they spend their time to talk to a chat bot to create that application or would outsource it to the person who knows how to use it? So in my opinion, everyone’s job are safe, sooner or later each one would find their place in this AI enabled work environment…. Just my thoughts…

Do you really think AI will take over in the next 5 years ?

So, me and my good friend were casually discussing how crazy the job market is and how we are unable to get into a good job, especially when she has over 3YoE and is really good at frontend web development.

She then casually asked me "S...

Jobs which will be created /not impacted by AI

A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for th...
