Future of GV and moderators back in IIRC days

I will keep this post crisp and short, no platform in the world where people interact can survive without moderators, even group discussions has a moderator. I am very vocal about having neutral moderators, I have posted this earlier as well, on the lines of reddit. I use to be a moderator of few IRC channels back in 2001, so I know why they are important. Banning ppl for few hours to kicking them out when spamming the channel.

If the only goal of GV is amassing users and showing the growth as there is no clear business model as of now, apart from the polls and surveys data which can be monetised in some form or the other. The post comments are saved and maybe some algorithms can be run and shared to the organisations which has private groups for additional monetisation(I am not part of them), this is only going to take this platform from A->B. If this has to explode like Blind and become the de-facto Blind of India and has feature like reddit, we would need moderation.

I lost the initial vibe, too much of shit post. Majority post looking for openings, One entire product line can be built which matches the openings posted by GV users to people looking for openings. The search is so shitty I can't find my post itself, how will someone searching for openings find any posts where someone says my company is hiring.

Raising fund by building the MVP is fine, beyond that what?

I wanted to keep it crisp but I guess I had high hopes of the platform and emotions took over.

PS: I am neither a SWE or PM :-)
