Future in TCS..

I am working as a lead and resigned recently. I've gotten an offer from a product-based company, but TCS is now trying to retain me by offering a 20% raise on my current CTC. I also received a good offer from service based organization yesteday. Should I stay at TCS or switch?

If you were already resigned means there are something for which you are looking for outside.. And if you are at C3b and above level please do not stay bcoz it will be hard to get offers again..

Bro, the 20% will be added to your Variable pay. By the time you realise, it will be too late and you have to wait for cool off period to resign again losing out on valuable Years of Exp. That 20% hike you will get based on luck factor.

Correct..they will not give any clarity on variable part and adjust the hike amount in variable pay.

Switch. 20% is a lollipop which will be in paper. In actual they will deduct 70-80% for variable.

Run away from TCS now. If not you will regret later.

20% retention hike is not going to change the reasons for which you decided to move on. It might feel good for few days basking in thoughts that you were so important that you were retained and has your compensation increase but you will still be in the same rut - day in and day out!
