Fussing over broken hiring practices is not worth it :)
Scheduling interview only to say position has been filed.
Giving verbal confirmation only to be ghosted.
Not having the decency to communicate properly.
Ghost hiring - openings that are bogus and no job exists.
All these things are becoming increasingly common and I’m fairly confident you’ve either experienced this first hand or lived these experiences through people around you.
Yes, its bad. At the same time its beyond our control and we must surrender any hard feelings - this after all IS the real (and cruel) world. It does not owe us anything and we don’t owe it anything either.
Easier said than done and it feels like a personal attack which is why you must swallow this pill forcefully and keep taking this pill until you become desensitised to these antics.
And as a bonus, you’re not joining a company where they don’t know how to treat potential talent so win-win.
Adios
