From Stability to Stagnation
The current climate at TCS has shifted from a promise of stability to a landscape of deep uncertainty, where the "career ladder" has been replaced by a stagnant floor. For two years, the silence on hikes and promotions hasn't just been a budgetary choice; it has been a message to every associate that their growth is no longer a corporate priority. When HR and RMG shift their focus from talent nurturing to arbitrary terminations and aggressive project mapping, they aren't just managing resources—they are dismantling the psychological safety that top-tier talent requires to innovate. For loyalty is being met with a lack of reciprocity. In the tech industry, a talented engineer’s greatest asset is their market value, but that value atrophies in a system that refuses to reward excellence. When a global giant begins to prioritize fear over fulfillment, it signals a shift from growth to survival. For those who drive the company's success, the question is no longer "When will I be promoted?" but "Why am I staying in a system that treats my expertise as a liability rather than an investment?"

Agree but just use your own words man. Why this Ai slop?

If you have an idea then you can implement it in a better way using AI.. whether it is your thoughts or work related tasks...by using AI I have tried to convey 2 messages, one is direct : not to wait for promotions/hikes second is: try to use AI more and more because it is not an option but it is necessity of current time.

Agreed. And the worst thing about staying in this company for me is, I feel burnt out and have to force myself to upskill in some new field so that I can switch. It feels like I wasted 5 years of my life.

Usually I don’t read long posts but these attractive words bounded me to read full post,,,liked it❤️
