Frequent Sabbticals vs Traditional retirement

What are your views on Micro-retirements and sabbaticals throughout career, rather than the traditional retirement?

The traditional career path has been to work for 30+ years, save up a corpus and then enjoy the golden years of your life with the money. However, in recent times, the concepts of career breaks and Micro-retirements are gaining traction. I (3+ YOE) myself have taken a recent 6 month break. And although it was tough getting a job again due to the poor market condition, I do not regret the decision. It helped me improve my mental, physical health, and dive back into work with improved focus and motivation.

I want to plan my next career break in a more strategic manner. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts and suggestions on this. Cheers!

It is easier in the starting 10 years of your career and especially in India where the competition is too high, as you go up the ladder hence you are part of companies which allow that or have a strong network, it will be difficult.

I know people 15years into their career, taking sabbatical and not able to find a job and staying idle for last 5years.
