Free Lunch - The Ultimate RTO Solution?

If TCS starts offering free lunch, would it encourage you to visit the office more often?

Yes, feed me and Iโ€™m there! ๐Ÿ•
Make it breakfast & dinner too ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ
Free food wonโ€™t fix traffic stress. ๐Ÿšฆ
Do they serve happiness too? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Iโ€™d still choose home ๐Ÿ

Even if they offer that would not be upto the standard as they will look for cost cutting in every new solution

True, the free food might come with a budget-friendly twist, but it could definitely help those in need. However, there shouldnโ€™t be any compromise on hygiene and food quality.

Do u think people don't get food at home?? So they will come to office for food ??

Itโ€™s not just about the food, but the convenience it offers. Many associates, especially those on lower wages or staying away from home in PGs, see free meals as a big relief. It saves both money and time, making office visits more appealing. For some, itโ€™s also about having a proper meal versus managing with instant noodles at home! Letโ€™s observe what others might be facing, instead of only focusing on our personal situations.

TCS is such a lazy fooker who couldn't even provide a free tea dispenser. This aint possible for 6L strong company.

I hope HRs are taking notes! Reward (like free lunch) can motivate better than punishment, like cutting performance pay and limiting growth opportunities. Happier employees = better results!

Tough competition, looks like the votes are split like a perfectly balanced diet, half craving free meals, and half sticking to home sweet home!

HR - can you explain that with a few slides? Will it still be better if we use scales to beat up the defaulters? You know we are trying our best to increase the growth opportunities for the company. Better results= Employees are happy. Thank you.

Woah ๐Ÿ† 450+ votes, thank you all for voting. The poll results reveal some interesting facts, free food seems to have a stronger pull than we imagined!

A significant number of people are willing to visit the office for the promise of free meals. Itโ€™s fascinating to see how simple perks like this can make a difference!

While free food turned out to be a strong motivator, attracting many votes, WFH still holds its ground with a significant share of support.

Even if they give "free " lunch, managers will make sure associates work for 15 hours and digest it completely in office. Additionally they will try to guilt trap by saying, " tcs is now literally feeding you so work your ass off " ๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, if RTO is the appetizer, free food could at least be the desert! ๐Ÿ˜„ But hey, only if itโ€™s edible and not "messing" with us!

They are serving worst quality food today when we pay for it. Number of complaint made but HR and Admin does not bother to listen....

Wecan imagine what will be the quality of it becomes free... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

TCS cannnot serve quality food in canteen free or paid... So no point it's going to be more of dissatisfaction instead of motivator

I agree quality and hygiene shouldn't be compromised. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Would you eat it for free? It may soon work though as most of us won't have an option with the solid hikes and taming inflation.

Why not? Free food is great, but itโ€™s only a perk if the quality and hygiene are top-notch. Letโ€™s not trade our health for a free meal, because thatโ€™s one thing no allowance or hike can cover!

But it isn't great in reality is it - TCS canteen food.. Are you hoping it will improve after they form such a policy for free food..

WFH is far better than Daily commute, unnecessary meetings and office politics, seeing the faces of rude and arrogant unhelpful, sinior If I don't get food for some reason I might have to send an email to my BUHR she might be away from her desk might not reply for few I will have to hungry that day..๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Right, at least at home the fridge doesn't require approvals or CC-ing the entire hierarchy. ๐Ÿ˜‚
