Forcefully allocated to a Project now not releasing saying will take HR and RMG action ? Please help

It's a two edge sword, I was in a similar situation. Forcefully allocated and when asked for a release, HR threatened me with various tectics. Now I am on the verge of getting a D band and afraid of PIP initiation.Search a job outside is the only prominent solution.

I don’t know if it ia due to over population and easy and cheap availability if resources, we are losing value in corporates, I am currently in same situation unlearning the skill I had, better switch and escape.
