Forcefully added in in 24/7 project
I am on bench from 22nd sep and now I got a project in Adibatla location which is 56kms(1 way) from my house. During the evaluation the manager said that I can even WFH or any other TCS offc and also no night shifts to me. Now PMO is saying that ODC is in Adibatla and how you work in other locations. PMO is asking me to come in-person to discuss and sort it out. Since there are 2 words, I am not willing to join the project as they may also say to work on night shifts later if no resource is available. Should I ask for a release or accept it. Need suggestions on this please.

Bro put mail to manager that as he approved working from other location so you joined. In case, there is issue then you will join other project as daily long travel is not feasible. Let them reply on mail, and keep pmo in cc.
Better get into something rather than being on bench in this kind of situation. My honest opinion. I know it is not something you would prefer or like to hear but situations can go out of control if people get egoistic.
Till how long we can exclude the calls during bench periods I am also getting client interviews still not selected.
Try to avoid calls and joining initial meetings by mentioning you are not interested so that you can get rid of this easily
