Forced to Quit: TCS Presses Employees to Resign Amid Bench Policies
I'm holding 3.5 years of experience. According to TCS, Employees needed to upskill. I did upskill and took some AI related certification courses, but I didn't get any opportunity for those. Every project manager just says you need to have hands-on experience. After that, I focused on projects related to my skills ones where I already had hands‑on experience but I couldn’t find any project to work on. I truly tried very hard to get a project, but still didn’t succeed.
And now the RMG is pressuring me to resign. If I don’t resign, they say they will terminate me and put negative comments on my experience letter.
I thought this was only happening to me, but since I saw a post about this on X, it feels like eventually everyone will face the same issue. So please, everyone try to upskill and consider leaving this company before it gets too late.
NOTE :- I've been on the bench for nearly a month, so please don’t come and say I’m enjoying long bench time.

Their target to reduce the headcount... Total injustice happens to unallocated people.... So they tooking random people to eliminate that .. Thye claiming they don't have money .... But they have profits and using in other ways..... RMG are useless Dumbs ... I think they should terminate first ..... Some of them dont have brains to work and providing projects in efficient manner...RMG side also has politics
Yeah , I saw some people's are on bench since more time than me still they are enjoying and RMG not taking any action against them. Both RMG's and those people's are local I'm from another state that's the reason they are targeting me.
Target is to reduce headcount to 4lakh by end of this year..
We are lucky that they didn't invest in AI R&D or else it could have been more worse as many manual support projects are now primary billing source..
Reducing headcount is somewhat sounds fine. But reducing the headcount to 4L is not an easy objective to fulfill by end of year. The company reputation will go down the drain if this happens and in my opinion reputation lost can't be salvaged back. Money can be earned. But reputation gone is gone and can't be gainer back. No sane mind in this world Will have that objective. Am Just putting forth my two cents.
