Forced resign ex colleague
One of my ex colleague was forced resigned from tcs she was scrum master with 12 years of experience. When she said to hr she has to pay emi hr said loan is taken by you. You have to manage it
Secondly she said she has to pay school fees of her child HR said admit your child to government school.

This way, one day TCS has to shut the shop.

It’s still going strong, something else has to happen to take down

No. The stock price is already at 2800 which is 5 years low, for such a big company. It did 3200 and 4500 share buyback few years ago. The stock price can't even sustain it's own derived valuation. If trump adds fee on L1 and on offshore outsourcing, TCS stock would go upto 2200-2400. Tata sons gets 80% dividend from TCS, and in such scenario board would sack many high rank individual for not able to manage huge behemoth. And it will again start cascading effect of layoff.
This whole scenarios are very bookish and have been observed in many big companies. Be it Kodak, Nokia, General Motors, Samsung, Sony. Once a market leaders, these are nowhere nowadays only because of a slight mismanagement.

Didnt she got servilance pay?

Only 3 months pay she was lateral joiner

You should be fired first for mispronouncing severence as survilance

I completely agree with HR because financial management is not the responsibility of any organization.
School fees, car, flat emi are part of financial management. And already she earned for 12 years right then at least she has an emergency fund available with her for this kind of situation.
12 years experience means if she is capable she can easily double her pay scale otherwise she thinks TCS is govt job and not unskilled according to market needs.

I have to agree here. Getting EMI or not is an individual's responsibility and decision. Not company's.

TCS gone too low in ethics and morale . Image is gone . Next clients will look for better vendor with some ethics

Ask her to file a police complaint for harrassing her. Share the name of HR and location here...let's make him/ her famous. Let see how he / she pays EMIs.

Applicable to all.

You should get kicked, and hope so u will soon. Everyone situation is different and everyone is fighting their own battle. So nonone should get job less. Company like Tata has many options, thinkers and budget as well. They are savior of indian economy couple of time so they can manage their employees as well with good manner and with some mgmt not like this firing.

Associate here is at fault
And in my view such employees who feel that company is responsible for their bread and luxury should definitely go through a reality check ..
These kind of people are those who believe it's free world and their right ...
Whoever was the HR - very good answers ..

you can hate TCS for the unethical layoff, but in this case, I would say the HR is correct in saying that EMI is responsibility of the employee. It isn’t really responsibility of anyone else.
