For those who left their home to work in another state.

I will be starting my job in some weeks in Pune.I am native of Punjab.I belong to a middle class family.

Should I buy a bike?, second hand?, should I buy it in punjab or here in Pune? Or instead of buying a bike I should only buy a cycle.

Please give advice.

That is understood, but still nearest to nearest I will be at a distance of 5 to 6 km from the office. Other people here take bus, although a decent percentage own a two wheeler.

That is why I aksed.

Get a PG really close to the office. Walk to your office. Getting a bike would sound fancy but when you have to commute long distances everyday it can get kinda boring and monotonous.

If you've saved up for a few months and want to buy a bike to discover the city later on then that's fine but getting a PG near the office is definitely gonna help you

Noted, will get a pg close to the office but that is still at a distance of 5-6km on average. I asked people what they are doing, they generally take bus.

So I guess I should avoid buying any vehicle at all?

Old vehicle le lunga par uske repairing k problems. Apne native state mai lunga then I have to get it registered here, phir to banda har jagah register karke tax h bharta rahega.

Naye lunga to BH number nhi le sakta since my company doesn't have offices in multiple states. I am confused.

In Pune they are very vigilant about the vehicles not registered in their RTO.

Hence if you have to buy then you should buy from Pune only.

And if it is feasible for you, then you should buy a new bike on loan rather than going with a second hand bike.

Wishing you the best.
