I don't wait for referrals. Have bad experience with them. For a handful of kind souls who do give referrals , they are usually 1 or 2 days late.

So it's better to directly apply on LinkedIn or Naukri.

My approach was to apply to way too many jobs (only ones which have been posted in the last 24 hours)
