Folks who left TCS, what are you currently missing that you used to enjoy during your stint here?

I'm sure its the 'WLB', 'job security', 'no work pressure' etc.

No job security any more in TCS I assume. And no work pressure is not a fact. It might be true for some projects but the majority has the pressure.

Mine is also same though it's WFH but have to sit around 12-15 hrs some day... And as a developer it's too much I guess 😕

I have worked in 8 companies in 14 years (including start-up , product and service) and my 9th company is TCS based on that my answers are as follows:

  1. compared to all job security is much better if you work good and if you follow policies. Recently my past company TechM laid off many silently with no projects.
  2. Management people are very much available compared to other service based companies.
  3. Leave policies are better.

Cons:

  1. The cut in variable pay for C3B and above is unacceptable.
  2. TCS is hesitating to retain people now a days.
  3. Too strict about WFO. Could be atleast 2 wfh in a week.
  4. HR policies are too stricter.

Is Leave policy really better. I do not have any other company exp so not aware. Could you please elaborate. One of my friend works in axis bank and number of leaves they get are very good around 60 and some of these leaves are called Mandatory leaves where the access to all work apps is blocked.

There is no WLB in TCS. Most people I know except few support project people rest all are working almost all day.

I worked for 16 hrs a day in my project just to hear that there is a one guy who is director's favourite so he will go to Australia. Definitely you will get something better so keep on doing good job. P.S:- I am on notice period and62 more days remaining

Peaceful, in tcs itself i worked around 12 hours, toxic people, and less ratings in appraisal after first 2 yrs And more salary, able to lead healthy life. So not missing anything. Once you switch from tcs and you get a good package or work even though you are fired in nxt company you will get more salary in nxt company you will have experience next more connections

I feel good looking at these comments. As someone who is about to leave TCS, people around me are saying you might regret this decision as you wouldn't have a chill and secure job. Its good that people are having good experience afterwards
