Folks this week could be the Amazon Layoffs

Heard from multiple colleagues that they could cut Ads and AWA teams in India. Wouldn’t be surprised if this happens on Tuesday or Wednesday just before the earnings calls.

Hiring in Amazon is extremely restricted and only for senior roles in selected orgs. Internal transfers, off campus recruitments are still closed as a thumb rule.

Ads layoffs have already happened. Overwhelmingly affected North America and EU roles.

AWS remains to be seen if India will be affected, given PXT seems to be the worst hit
