Wanted community opinion on what is a better offer 75 LPA cash in an established FMCG vs 64 LPA (46 cash and 18 ESOPs) at an ecommerce startup

Startups are struggling currently and in near future.

You'll be worth more to the startup after you work in the FMCG. Not the other way around though.

FMCG, and then probably take 75l cash in a startup a few years later.
Also, if you're getting 75L cash elsewhere, 18L esops per annum is a joke. Can be 5x

What is the YOE in the relevant field ? And why is this even a question given that there is 30L cash component difference and the esops are going to be vested over 4-5 years

ESOPs mentioned here vest annually. Have taken up the FMCG offer now

I voted FMCG as I believe cash is the king, esp considering the current economic climate but if you believe you can take the startup to greater heights and the team is great, then please choose the startup.

Could you give some co text - what’s the fmcg role vs startup?
