I’m not sure which team will I get @ Flipkart, anyone who I can connect with?
Hi guys, hope you are doing good. I have received offer from Flipkart and Goldman Sachs, I believe you guys will give honest opinion.
Compensations
Flipkart : Team : MART Base : 27 LPA Bonus : 2.7 LPA Stocks : 14 LPA ( 3.5 LPA per Year)
Goldman Sachs: ( HR verbally confirmed selected, I'm adding standard GS salary) Team : Transaction banking Base : 33LPA Bonus : 7 LPA (10% - 20%) First year : 40 LPA ( Stocks : No
I'm looking for learning and career growth, Money is not a priority right now. After tax I might get 30k or 40k more in GS.
Please give a your honest feedback about work culture, learning and PIP. I'm ready to push myself if needed.
Thank you.
I hear news like recession is happening only layoffs happening and hiring is slowed down but when I see posts from talented people like you who get multiple offer letters, I feel like recession and layoffs are just fake. Need valuable suggestions from people like you, how to crack interviews in these challenging times. A point or two would be greatly appreciated 👍
I am not a naturally talented person—just an average student who worked hard and didn’t waste much time during college. Coming from a family with a monthly income of ₹15,000, I was driven to push myself beyond limits.
I studied at a tier-3 college and started my career with an 8 LPA package. I always believed that one day I would be in a great place—and that day came this year. My journey taught me that everything is possible if you stay focused on your goals, dream big, and prepare consistently.
Opportunities will come your way, but you must be interview-ready when they do.

Thanks for your valuable suggestions and all the very best for your future endeavours.
FK is good if the team is decent, don't know much about the mart team. Though we have internal issues at the moment like a lot of senior leadership people resigning as well as 5 day WFO from April 1. Also, the traffic etc in the ETV area sucks. If an IPO happens, you might get good money out of it.
FK can give a lot of learning because of the startup-ish culture if you're in the right team and that can be very useful, we kind of operate like big tech.
Meanwhile, GS might give you comparatively more peace of mind, less fear of getting laid off and more salary.
Brand value is similar in both cases I think, probably a GS sde 2 will get more calls from recruiters than us though, can't say.
IPO isn't planned for a year. Also, Mart culture isn't great. GS is way better in every case than FK
I started my career with GS. Worked there for 4 years. I suggest Flipkart at this stage of your career if you are not looking for stability.
If you want to settle in somewhere for long term choose GS.
Honest opinion: don't join any of these, join a series C startup and solve problems at scale. Talk to the HMs. Evaluate if they are skilled in engineering and are not a storyteller. Talk to your team lead and ensure he is not toxic.
Thank you for your suggestions All my previous experience is in small startups only. This is the first time I'll be working in big company and I believe FK or GS on resume will help in long run. Getting interview opp is very hard for tier 3 college students. Thank you.
If you are good at marketing, then join FK else there is no growth. Learning, tech all is myth in FMoney wise you will lose a substantial amount in 2 years.
Hey, I’m trying to switch from service based to product and not able to do so. Any suggestions how can I prepare and get a job in a company like GS
Hi @LovableRiverbed57 bro, please tell how did you managed to switch from 8 lpa to 15 lpa to GS/Flipkart SDE 2? I want to know how did you managed to take out time for preparation & also how did you handled 90 days notice period?
I have 1 year of experience , your answer will be great help
Thank you brother I have added my preparation strategy in one the comment please check that once. DSA helped me switch companies starting, gradually started learning about LLD and HLD. Once you have 2 to 3 years exp there are couple of good companies gives you changes. Don't worry much now just focus and prepare you will get good opp in future. Regarding 90 np tell new HR 60 days most of them will agree and ask your manager to leave early or you only buy out remaining days. I hope this will help you. Thank you.
Is it a front end role?
No brother backend

Been hearing a lot of noise around culture taking a hit at Flipkart, and also upcoming IPO.
