Yes, the region being close to India's Capital has all facilities - huge roads, swanky malls and shiny cars, everything that fits in a person's perception of development. But there are problems, which can be solved but they'll take time and effort.
-
Urban planning and mobility: Yes, there's metro and RRTS, but the last mile transport (within 5-10 km radius of metro station) can be improved through feeder minibuses. Also, planting more trees in the space between roads and footpath really helps with dust and shade.
-
Anger issues: It doesn't matter if your net worth is Rs. 10,000 crore, if you act like a do-kaudi ka brainless, classless person who picks up fight with anyone, snowflake ego and a need to project their "tohra", people won't respect you and treat you like a roadside goon. And those kinds of people don't have any respect, people will stay away just like how they stay away from rabid dogs.
-
Classism - Yes, that maid and that Blinkit delivery boy are human and they deserve basic human dignity. The way you treat the less fortunate and underprivileged defines your character and value as a human. If you can't climb 15 floors, don't expect that delivery boy to do the same either.
-
Development over theatrics: Malls don't mean development if your road next to your gated compound becomes a river in the rainy season. Having a Royce doesn't mean shit if the road potholes can only handle a 4x4. Ask your local municipal corporation to make good public infrastructure.
Many of these issues exist in other cities too, but are very prevalent in Delhi NCR. If only these are controlled, NCR might be a super-megacity of India.
