Fired

Are you laid off or fired? If you're laid off, it would be better to call it that for optics as other people might perceive "fired" in a negative sense.

I am not very sure about this...but i was on bench and they called me up and said that i am terminated.

That seems like a layoff as you weren't fired for performance or disciplinary reasons.
