You work at a company involved in mutual funds, and you're recommending FDs?

Maybe that is the reason why he is recommending FD 😅

Does your corporate offer espp? If yes, utilise it. Best place to invest for guaranteed profit

While I see the benefit of discounts on espp, I wanted to know how ok is it because we end up having more of 1 stock than a diverse set of stocks. Is that concentration ok? Would love to know your opinion

Microsoft does allow fractional shares. I was part of MSFT till a couple of months back and still hold a significant amount of RSU+ESPP shares growing at an insane rate. From my personal experience, Investing and staying invested in ESPP is definitely fruitful when it's one of the top performing listed in stock of its sector. If the stock and company's future isn't promising enough, it makes sense to sell the ESPP shares as soon as they vest. There are things to be kept in mind while selling RSU/ESPP like the total cost of charges/taxes while selling should not supersede the discount on the market price at which you get the shares.

When there is chaos equities are the best.. by the you didn't mentioned your duration is it short or long term.. let me clearify it.. my definition of short term is 7 years or less long term 7 years or more.. .. so if long term invest all in equity.. direct nifty 50.. for other more details can dm..me.. if short term then 5 lakhs in equity and 5 lakhs in gold.

Ps. Why for me long term is 7 years plus because if you analyse previous mutual fund returns and take any duration of 7 years.. chances of getting a loss is 0.01%. Calculated risks are better.. if things go well then you will end up making more than any asset classes
