Finally Resigned from TCS and what I learnt along the way

After a grueling 10 yrs journey, I finally did it,I resigned, and this time, I didn’t let them sweet-talk me into staying. A decade of corporate chaos taught me lessons sharper than a boardroom PowerPoint. Here’s the unfiltered truth I wish I would have known sooner

  1. Health and Relationships Come First Work deadlines aren’t worth sleepless nights or strained family ties. Your health and loved ones deserve the spotlight, not your inbox

  2. Embrace the 9 Hour Rule Stick to your work hours and get things done on time. Those extra hours you’re grinding? They’re not paying you extra for your soul

  3. Keep Romance Out of the Office Trust me, mixing love and work is a recipe for drama. Save the sparks for outside the cubicle

  4. If It’s Not in Writing, It Didn’t Happen Verbal promises are as reliable as a paper umbrella in a storm. Get everything in an email, or it’s just hot air.

  5. If It’s Not in Writing, It Didn’t Happen Verbal promises are as reliable as a paper umbrella in a storm. Get everything in an email, or it’s just hot air.

  6. Don’t Chase the Onsite Dream Forever If they’ve dangled that international assignment for over a year, it’s probably a mirage. Don’t waste your time waiting for a plane ticket that’s never coming

  7. Prioritize Peace Over Paychecks Your mental health, family, and sanity trump any job. No promotion is worth your peace of mind

  8. Quit When the Time Feels Right Don’t wait for the PERFECT MOMENT If the job’s draining you, pull the plug and reclaim your life

I never feared layoffs, in fact, I secretly hoped my name would land on the “fluidity list” (spoiler - it didn’t). But walking away on my own terms? That’s the real victory.

Here’s to new beginnings and lessons hard-earned over a decade of desk life

I don't think it is too low . Yes there is still scope of negotiations. But saying too low is not correct statement.
