Feeling Stuck After Joining TCS – Need Support

I recently joined TCS on 23rd June after waiting nearly 3–4 months for onboarding. I had already resigned from my previous job, so I had no option but to join when the offer came through.

Soon after joining, I got a project allocation. But once I disclosed my pregnancy, I was suddenly released from the project. Since then, I’ve been on the bench, and things have only gotten harder.

I’m being told I’m not eligible for work from home, not eligible for maternity leave, and even Leave Without Pay is being denied.

At this stage in my life, I genuinely expected some level of support. But now I’m left without a project, benefits, or even basic flexibility.

If anyone has faced something similar or knows what I can do next, please help. Any guidance or support would mean a lot. 🙏

Yeah, they said i have to serve 80 days min before expected delivery date and I have only 75 days till then. That's why I was asking for wfh so that till last day i can continue, bcz traveling in final months is not safe for me.

TCS offers significantly lower compensation compared to other organizations.

Annual salary hikes have been minimal.

WFH flexibility has been reduced to just 6 days per quarter.

No compensation letters were issued this year.

The bench policy has become stricter, making it harder to get assigned to projects.

-Shockingly, this!

I sincerely hope TCS returns to its former values, for the sake of associates awaiting onboarding and those currently on the bench.

Honestly raise it to NITES forum. And also raisr a grievance in ultimatix. This unethical behavior from TCS needs to be reported.
Similar case outside TCS..where a preganant women was denied maternity leave...and she won the case.

As per TCS policy, you should be eligible for maternity leave if you have completed at least 90 days at TCS. I’m not sure why your request is being rejected.

Be cool , Since you are on bench , just go to office early morning for swipe , and take sick/planned leaves until you complete 90 days , then apply for maternity leave , It will get approved
No one will break or go outside the policies outlined to sort your issues, try to handle it gracefully without frustration.

@PrettyCollateral87 as per the TCS policy you have to serve 90 days then you could apply for Maternity leave. But you mentioned you joined 23rd June that's why they weren't approved.
