Feeling lost in my career

Hey everyone, I wanted to be brutally honest about something that’s been bothering me lately.

I’ve realized that I don’t truly know what I actually enjoy doing. Every career move I’ve made so far has been driven by “what pays the best” rather than genuine interest. I’m currently a Product Manager, but I feel like my curiosity and ownership - the very traits that are supposed to define this role - are gone.

To be honest, I’ve noticed I do well when someone gives me clear direction and structure. But when I have to figure things out on my own (which is basically what PMs do), I just… shut down. Oddly, I love figuring things out in my personal life - but in my career, it just feels like a chore.

I’m frustrated and confused. Is anyone else in the same place - doing something they’re good at, but not really interested in anymore? How did you figure out what you actually enjoy or where you should go next?

Would love to hear from people who’ve felt this and found some clarity.
