Trending @Capgemini; Feeling like a zombie

Hello peeps, please help me out here.. I've just joined Capgemini in the probation period. One project contacted me and they had night shifts with two timings till 2/4 Am on rotation basis. I resisted at first but people manager pressurized me to join so I agreed to join the project. I've 9 years of experience now and I've started working in these shifts from 7-8 days. The problem is I'm not getting any sleep after the shifts end and during the day also, I'm not able to sleep. I can feel stress and not feel any appetite. As of now, the project code is not showing active with my id due to new year and freeze. What worse could happen if I send an email asking for release from the project. Please pour in your suggestion as I really need it.
