Feeling like a loser.

TL;DR: Ex-founder trying to break into big tech as a PM. But not getting any calls. Got offers from startups. But I don't want to work with early-stage startups anymore.

I founded and ran a fintech co for 2 years. After that, I worked as PM for 3 years. Currently, I am looking to break into PM roles at big tech companies and companies that are post-Series A. I am not getting many calls. Even if I get I am losing it during the take-home case study round.

When I give interviews for startups I am clearing all the rounds i.e. products sense, analytics, and case study but I am failing for big techs.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. And none of them provided any feedback. This is hitting my confidence and morale. I am going through online resources on how to solve this. But I am lacking somewhere.

Last 6 years I have struggled a lot and multiple times I have started from zero. But now even not able to get a job. And I ran out of savings and staying with my parents. Just feels like a complete loser after working my ass off for 8 years.

I am reaching out to this community for some help on how to approach case studies when I apply for big techs.

Any help is highly appreciated.

I have submitted and reviewed a lot of take home assignments from PM to lead PM levels. I can offer to review your take home assignments which didn’t get through and provide feedback on what could be improved.
And don’t take these things personally. It’s also a function of the current job market.
PMs are increasingly being judged for their industry / domain knowledge as well (specially in big tech). So if your start up experience is not helping you project domain knowledge in big tech, that will also lead to non selections as currently the market is saturated with thousands of PMs who cropped in the past few years.
