Feeling dumb about myself!
Hi,
I am a regular IT guy, working as an SDE in a product-based company, making around 12 LPA with 2.5YOE and a background from a named Tier 1 (or Tier 2, depending on your perspective) private college. I am currently on a job hunt and max could leverage up to a 50% hike!
I'm noticing many folks with base salaries ranging from 20 LPA - 25 LPA and overall CTCs in the range of 35 LPA - 40 LPA with the same 2-3 years of experience!
I'm happy for them, but I'm wondering why I'm struggling to reach those levels despite my efforts. Have overall salary ranges increased? Am I stuck in the same salary bracket? It's frustrating and makes me feel inadequate at this stage of my career.
Some might say that salary isn't everything, but personally, I have certain commitments that require a better-paying job. However, whenever I pursue opportunities, they seem just out of reach.
Feeling low, hence felt like writing them down here. Thanks

Bro you are saying you feeling dumb than what abt me I am having 6+ yoe but still stuck on 10lpa and got just 3% hike so according to this I stand no where just stuck and dumb. Even I m switching I still get low balled since I m already underpaid but have to strive hard. I also feel low everyday but I have to keep going no choice. don't worry you will reach there. I am also trying you also keep trying.

Never compare salaries, there is always someone earning more than you, no matter which level you reach, just keep aiming high and try to achieve it

Yup...I try to do that...Still when I open grapevine or LinkedIn I feel that way😌

That everyone feels here 😭😞😭

If you always compare your paycheck with others you will never be satisfied.
