Feeling confused, Should I leave TCS
I've been working at TCS since the beginning of my career — it's been 6 years now. Recently, I received an offer from MetLife for a Data Scientist role with a package of 10.6 LPA.
To be honest, I don’t have real experience in data science, though I do know a bit of Python. At TCS, I'm currently at the BPO3 grade with a 6 LPA salary. My main concern here is the compensation; apart from that, everything else is great.
The technology I work on is proprietary to TCS, so it’s not something I can carry forward if I decide to move. Based on my recent discussions, TCS is likely to match the offer to retain me.
Also, both roles — at TCS and the new one — are work-from-home, so there's no change in that aspect.
Now I’m at a crossroads: should I stay at TCS and continue enjoying a peaceful, non-toxic work environment, or should I step out of my comfort zone, take up the MetLife offer, and start learning a completely new technology stack?

How did you get into data science bro without experience could you share few tips I'm trying to shift tired of this low paying stagnant mainframe developer role

Its a junior role. Also I know the basics of python. I'm a developer in TCS.
Try to work on many projects and update the same in GitHub.

Leave now, else you'll sink further into your comfort zone each day, and it'll become incrementally difficult to get out of that mindset. The comfort zone would make you overlook discrimination & being passed over for opportunities, and only a huge wakeup jolt shall compel you to move on when it's too late already. Don't wait for that day, move on now. Love your work, not your company.

Thanks for this input. I decided to take up the challenge ❤️❤️❤️
