The manager ego, sadly, is very closely linked to the male ego; which in totality is this 🀏🏻 big. Try to not hurt it.

If you really wanna do it, follow this sandwich framework:

  1. Good thing
  2. Bad thing
  3. Good thing

But rehne do na yaar, why? Don’t do it pleaseee

I've been giving and have been receiving as well. But yes, the culture in the organisation should also enable you to do so. Else you're gonna be in some deep shit.

There is a thin line between feedback and criticism and if it's the latter then do it only when you are on notice period also while wrapping like a gift box

I'll tell you how mine went. Work culture is great. All my stakeholders respect me and are happy to exchange feedback on how to work better with each other. My department head herself takes and gives constructive feedback to me.

On the other hand, I had a couple of sessions with my manager and told her that I wanted to scale to the next level and take more responsibilities, while also telling her about what I expect from her as a manager. Now, from the looks of it, she doesn't seem to actively work on it and things look a little shaky for me bc I don't feel enabled at all.

Bottomline: Know your manager's personality and then see what to do. Working for a bad manager will ruin your experience of a great workplace.

If your manager is open minded enough, please feel free to. If not, refrain.
