False POSH effect

One of my friends had been fired from is role due to a false accusation from a female employee who was in a relationship with him. Will this have any effect in his upcoming jobs? is there a risk of failing the background check? Do employers share this info?

Entirely depends on the partner in question.

If she choose to, she can definitely screw his career up. So, ask your friend to not update his LinkedIn, it MAY save him some trouble.

Also, just an advice to this beautiful community:

Avoid dating/mating with your classmates and colleagues. It will save you from unwanted troubles.

No employer does not share that information. But it can get leaked.

Once it gets the rumour mill running it can totally ruin lives. Most male professionals do heavy lifting financially for their families.
