Facing Overlap in PF History – Can It Impact My TCS Offer?

I have 5.5+ years of experience with my current organization and have recently cleared the interview process at TCS. During the HR discussion regarding the offer, I was informed that there should be no overlap in my employment history.

Here's a brief background: I initially joined CTS directly after college but resigned within two weeks, and joined my current organization on the same day—12th January 2020. At the time, CTS verbally confirmed that no notice period was required. However, my exit letter from CTS states the last working date as 11th March 2020.

Upon checking my UAN service history, I noticed there is a 2-month overlap between CTS and my current organization. Now, the TCS HR is asking me to send a declaration via email stating that there is no overlap in my employment.

I’m unsure how to proceed in this situation. Should I go ahead with the declaration, or is there a formal way to clarify this overlap?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you find any solution for this. I had joined a company and has to leave it within a week and join other company. but they credited pf (no salary) for 3 months. This made my pf overlap..

No good solution as of now, raised a request to CTS via mail to correct the dates yet to hear from them. The only solution I can find is joint declaration and that too need CTS support.
