Hi everyone,
I’m facing a background verification concern and would really appreciate guidance from those who’ve dealt with something similar.
I had briefly worked with two companies before joining Infosys:
-
Avasoft – I joined as an intern, but had to take a short leave due to a health issue. Although I informed them in advance, they discontinued my internship as per policy and didn’t provide any experience or relieving letter. My PF was created and later exited properly, but no documentation was given.
-
Collabera – I joined but resigned within a few days due to mismatch in expectations. I do have a termination letter from them.
Since 2022, I’ve been working with Infosys (Citi Bank project), and there have been no issues — Infosys accepted my explanation during BGV.
However, I recently heard that TCS rejected a candidate’s BGV because they couldn’t produce relieving letters for entries shown in their PF history. This concerns me because I’m in the same situation.
Will my explanation letter work during TCS or other BGVs?
Can I disclose this honestly during the HR round?
Has anyone faced something similar and successfully cleared BGV in companies like TCS, Cognizant, HCL, LTI Mindtree, or MAANG+?
Also, Avasoft doesn’t provide NOC or documentation without a hefty bond settlement. Can this be considered unfair?
Any inputs, sample explanations, or success stories would really help. Thank you in advance!
