Fabric Data Engineer in UAE at AED 2.4lpa YOE 10.6 Worth?

I got an offer from Consultancy for Fabric Data Engineer role in UAE with below perks.

Salary: 16000 AED/mo extendable to 20000/mo AED with benefits (Visa, Flight Ticket, Insurance and every year two way flight tickets will be issued).

Is it right to fly abroad with this salary structure since when I saw PPP it was showing I need to draw close to AED 37k/mo as per another offer I'm holding for Rs. 39lpa here.

Can you please advise on what I need to do here?

Tech Stack: Fabric Data Engineer, Azure/Databricks Data Engineer with YOE: 10.5

20k dhs per month is decent for 10 YoE. But it depends totally on where in UAE.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai, 20K Dhs per month wont let you live the golden life alot expect unless accommodation is provided by the organisation or atleast House rent/lease allowance.

Most folks what they do is find cheap accommodation and save up yearly the house allowance which helps them leave a pretty cool life. But now days organisations provide accommodation or reimburse based on lease so that option is dying down.

Life in UAE specifically Dubai and Abu Dhabi is not cheap at all especially if one is expecting the life seen on reels. That life is usually for those earning 40 to 50K dhs per month or having company accommodation/lease deposit from org with a 30K per month salary.

If its Sharjah or Ajman then that should be fine. But yeah ultimately it depends on your goal. Whether you going to enjoy UAE or to save up max and come back soon.

GCC life was golden till this current rapid immigration. So tbh my personal opinion if they aren't providing accommodation nor house allowance the 39 LPA here (with tax) is much greater than 20K dhs per month there factoring in PPI.

PS: Please dont do a common mistake i see alot of folks do where they convert the currency there into INR it looks big in theory but there is a concept called PPI which is very real and significant. The same applied everywhere and anywhere. Eg: 100K in US is equal to 24 lpa in India as per PPI. Do check it up.
