Extend the joining date

How to write an email to kindly request the new company HR to extend the joining date ?

What are the chances that they will accept it ?

Yes I have received it. My joining date is in the first week of Sept but my official notice period ends by first week of October.

See you are not on notice period on any company and you are unemployed right now. Just talk to HR first on call, if she understand the situation. If not then request on email.

Chances are low because these days, companies are ruthless, but there is no harm in trying, meanwhile you can try and take another offer from another company, if possible.

I guess most recruiters think I am buying time to get a counter offer to ditch their company but I don’t have any intention to do that. The job has become so complex that recruiters don’t trust the candidates and candidates don’t trust the recruiters.
