Exposing Manager

Hi , I have cleared my wings 1 in 2022 May and my incentives started in October 2022, just after 6 months in the appraisal cycle the manager gave less rating just to give C band and stop my incentives, when i rejected the band , they said I gave 100% but I should have given more than that to get better band.

It was all his personal choice and ego for which decided to play with my success and career.

Only 2 girls in the team of 150 people have cleared the wings , infact others were not even aware if such thing exists.

Not only this , he played the same tactic with my other colleagues and gave both of us C band.

Such managers sitting on managerial post for 4 to 5 years with zero knowledge of advance skill sets. Ever since I have joined the team, No person have spent more than 2 years , either they have resigned or asked for release which he never did and people ended up resigning.

He disrespects girls and even some senior employees who have newly joined our team.

He has imposed his own rules for release from team stating that we can only get released if only we have spent 3 years within this team. Tcs doesn't have any such rules or bonds and here they have made up every rule to make our life hell.

Not only that he have even opposed certification reimbursement stating its not required at this level of experience , I mean who does that , people here get job just based on few certification but here he is imposing his rules while on the other side tcs is encouraging everyone to do certification.

This clearly states the mentality of this person.

I am writing this here as anonymous coz no one in tcs would take any action against such people.

We should not get stuck in this godforsaken place. Your career and skills are a stake. Remember, this is not important. Don't worry much about it. Skill up,switch,move ahead with good opportunities. This should not stop you. I'm in a similar situation. I have to start from scratch. But.... LET'S DO THIS

I invested almost 9 years in TCS and did not getting any project now.Being MBA graduate I was working for testing projects without having any interst. I want to START from scratch and I always have interst for HR domain and MBA is also in HR only but did not get opportunities in TCS . Any suggestions to unskill courses to get into HR domain?????

Hr has many depts like TD, operations, rmg. Pick which you want and ask your unit HR and get the switch which you want. If they are not responding. Create a hr resume and start giving interview. Work on the questions which they usually ask and switch.

Very bad manager. Such toxic managers are present in almost all the accounts and 99.99% are older than 5 years in TCS. Best way to overcome such situations is to start speaking upfront and in front of leadership so that he/she should feel ashamed and leave the company.

These people are going to get their karma back so don't worry. And as for release from the project, you should have asked right after clearing wings based on the skills you cleared. As there is a HR policy to give projects based on your skills sets of digital and if they couldn't in their project then they have released no matter what. Even managers can't stop. And giving C to a digital cleared candidate is absurd. I would recommend reaching out to HR on your concerns with 2 others you mentioned. As the ratings were not based on your performance and this needs investigation from the HR end. This needs to come into HR's notice. Just a suggestion.

I would suggest to raise grievance against such tactics in Ux. The concerned hr will then look after the case until your case is closed.
