No. They will provide exp letter

One of my known one's roommate got call from HR and he put two options that either 3 months salary or PIP. And if fail in PIP, you will not get experience letter.

It is kind of a joke. Even if you fail to complete PIP, maybe they will be released from the organisation but they will provide your experience letter
You faced PIP because of your poor performance. But the experience letter is to just show your tenure in organisation
