Experience certificate while currently employed

I'm applying for a company which is asking me an experience certificate. Can I get it if I'm still currently employed with TCS. Should I directly ask HR. Would there be any negative consequences?

You could ask for bonafide instead, they might provide that.

It is very simple..Send this format to your Manager and ask him to get this filled from HR and send back to you

I hope it was this simple. I did sent the format to HR. Shes saying we dont give experience letters, only bonafide. Bonafide cert wont help me.. Also I think every company is bound to give experience letter as per law even when employee is currently serving.
