Evangelion (underrated anime)

This anime started as a mecha anime and ended with what just happened. People create all these points to justify the story and its meaning.

But for me, Evangelion tells about the inner demon of a people's heart. I was able to relate to Shinji where I know that I am not a good person and there are many broken things in my heart that I cannot fix and live my life as I can. There is an inner darkness in my heart which I just control myself.

But I found people where I can show and tell all of my issues and accept me who I am. So yeah, even though I can't fix everything I can live happily and peacefully
