Ethical dilemma

I got hired by a company as for part time job, 25 hrs in a month. Initially job was to setup a process in this new company, help with system design to get things started.

Here's the thing for first 6 months I had good amount of work to do and even spent little more that 25 hrs in a month.

But in the last 2-3 months because of things are running smoothly I barely worked 5 hrs.

So my question, do I just keep quiet and keep on drawing the money or talk to them and leave the job of not needed anymore

It's not like I haven't brought this subject before, I joined through my ex colleague and had discussions with him. He said they are not worried about the money.

Hoping to get some perspective here

I am assuming you are at a senior level. Companies pay for availability of your skills too, more so when it's the right time. I don't think you are doing anything wrong by sailing quietly.

Agree.. company may be paying you as an investment for rainy days when shit hits the fan and you would help clean it up..

Stay put and keep taking the money.. it's in the best interest of both parties
