Enforced RTO policy

India is facing a heat wave... Temperature is going to be between 40-50°C... And yet they are enforcing 100% RTO... Any HR in the house...?? Are we going to get any leniency...?? Everyone can not afford AC cars/ shuttles right..?? Come to office before 9 AM then... guess what...?? Everyone's shift doesn't start before 9 either... So what should we do...??

Oh man, please stop!

You have to only work for 9 hours sitting on a comfortable chair. The temperature inside the building is 23°C, and still you're giving excuses. Think about daily wage workers and how they're able to work for 8–10 hours, that too in 40–50 °C.

Fair point... Yes... I understand... And unlike daily wage workers we can sit at home and deliver if needed right..?? The perks of our job allows it... Then...?? Why enforcement is needed...??

See I think the management is forcing us to come back to office because of multiple reasons. Few things I have observed in my one year of TCS journey is I think the management is forcing us to come back to the office for multiple reasons. The few things I have observed in my one-year TCS journey are:

  1. Here, associates generally don't take responsibility for the work they do.
  2. Whenever there is an important deadline, they'll start ignoring it.

😂Also TCS is like a government job so there is no WFH for government employees.
