I was wondering, how's E2E handled in the emailing systems. Considering they have to tackle external compatibility as well

As far as i know
Doing E2E on a web app is next to impossible, since the client will be third party, so you have to exchange your scripts. ( There is a paper on it)

But it can be done on apps since we generally consider app stores safe and they can be trusted with our scripts.
